Richard Grant Most comeback albums are either pale replicas of the past or bad imitations of current trends. Soft Bonds surprises and excels in that it makes previous Insides efforts feel like a lead up to this release. Kirsty's vocals are already superb and a given, it is the beautifully restrained and eclectic backing tracks that elevate this release and don't mire it in any time period. Favorite track: Subordinate.

ethereallad Dreamy minimalist ambient pop with close to the mike sensual vocals and hypnotic sound. The lyrics are intimate stream of conscious journal entries that burn with eroticism. Favorite track: Half Past Four.

lemmerdeur Their music is a thoughtful combo of ethereal vocals and experimental instrumentation. But there's also much emotion to it that my words struggle to convey. Very beautiful. I'm really excited for this new release.

boogiedroid Beautifully uneasy honesty, Kirsty's words slip from between her lips like whispers, imparted secrets. Julian's cat's cradle guitar is sometimes pretty, other times nagging, always inventive. The rhythms meter hypnotically.

Together Insides knit & knot together feelings sometimes too intimate, too bare but you can't turn your back. I welcome them back with open arms.

Favorite track: Half Past Four.

writeguytim I lived in Euphoria for so long. Insides is transparent and truth. It’s rhythm and hypnosis. Savor and share. There’s nothing else like this. Favorite track: Ghost Music.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
